1. Information We Collect

Because our Service is a dating platform, we collect both information you voluntarily provide and data collected automatically.

• Account & Profile Data: When you create an account, we collect your name, email, date of birth, gender, sexual orientation, location, and login credentials.
• Profile Content: Photos, videos, "About Me" descriptions, interests, preferences, and any other content you choose to post.
• Communications: Content of messages and chats sent to other users, as well as communications with our customer support team.
• Usage & Device Data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and data collected via cookies regarding how you interact with our platform (e.g., profiles viewed, matches made).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to operate, improve, and protect our Service:

• To create and manage your user profile and facilitate matches.
• To communicate with you regarding your account, matches, and customer support.
• To monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve our matching algorithms and user experience.
• To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud, spam, and other harmful activities.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited situations:

• With Other Users: Your profile information (including photos and location) is visible to other users of the Service.
• With Service Providers: We share data with third-party vendors who assist us with hosting, data storage, payment processing, and customer support.
• For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order or subpoena).

4. Identity Verification & Didit Data

To help keep our community safe, we offer identity verification through a third-party processor, Didit.me. Depending on the verification tier you choose, the following applies:

• What We Collect: For age/liveness verification, Didit captures a live selfie and liveness data. For full identity verification, Didit may collect images of your government-issued ID (e.g., driver's license or passport) and perform a face match between your ID photo and a live selfie. Didit processes this data on our behalf as a data processor.
• Verification Results: We receive the outcome of the verification (approved or declined), a session identifier, and the verification tier achieved. We do not store the raw images of your government ID on our servers; Didit retains and processes those images in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at didit.me/privacy-policy.
• How We Use It: We use verification results to display verification badges on your profile, to gate matching features, and to deter catfishing, bots, and fraudulent accounts.
• Disclosure to Authorities: We may disclose your verification status, verification session records, and — when legally compelled — identity verification data obtained through Didit to law enforcement or regulatory authorities in response to a valid legal request, such as a subpoena, court order, or search warrant. We may also disclose such information without a formal legal request when we believe it is necessary to prevent imminent harm to you or others, or to comply with applicable law.

5. Engage Plus+ Real-Time Game Data

Engage Plus+ is an optional, premium-only feature that lets two matched users play a synchronized multiple-choice conversation game in real time. When you start or accept an Engage Plus+ game, the following applies:

• What We Collect: We collect and store the multiple-choice answers you submit during each game session, along with timestamps and the game's final compatibility score.
• Real-Time Sharing: Your answers are transmitted to your matched partner in real time as you play, and their answers are transmitted to you. This real-time synchronization is a core function of the feature and is required for gameplay.
• Consent to Share: By starting or accepting an Engage Plus+ game, you consent to your answers being shared with your matched partner for the duration of the game and in the results summary.
• Compatibility Score: The compatibility score provided at the end of the game is generated solely from how many answers you and your partner selected in common. It is provided for entertainment and conversation purposes only and is not a psychological, behavioral, or relationship assessment, and it is not a guarantee of compatibility.
• Retention: Game session records (questions, answers, and scores) are retained for ninety (90) days after the game ends, after which they are automatically deleted. During that period, records may be accessed by our administrative team to investigate reports of misconduct or abuse of the feature.

6. Message Retention & Law Enforcement Disclosure

When you send or receive messages through the Service, AutoBlindDate retains the content of those communications even after a conversation is removed from your view. Removing a conversation from your Inbox only hides it from your account — it does not delete the underlying message records from our systems. We retain this data to help keep our community safe, to investigate reports of misconduct, and to assist law enforcement.

AutoBlindDate may disclose your account information, profile data, and the content of your messages — including messages no longer visible to you — to law enforcement or other public authorities in response to a valid legal request, such as a court order, subpoena, or search warrant. If you are concerned about the safety of meeting a match, please use the in-app SOS and 911 features and contact local authorities directly.

7. Payment Data

Premium subscriptions are billed via the web through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. When you subscribe to Premium, you are redirected to Stripe's secure checkout to enter your payment information. AutoBlindDate does not collect, process, or store your full card number, bank account details, or other sensitive payment credentials on our servers. Stripe handles all payment processing in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. We receive only a limited set of transaction metadata from Stripe (such as subscription status and renewal date) to manage your Premium access.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access & Correction: You can access and update your profile information at any time through your account settings.
• Account Deletion: You can delete your account at any time. Once deleted, your profile will no longer be visible to other users.
• Cookie Preferences: You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, this may limit your ability to use some portions of our Service.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Service is restricted to users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
